Their winning formula is that architectural designs take full advantage of their surroundings to achieve an experience that would not work in any other place. Sordo Madaleno Arquitectos (SMA) was approached to bring this hotel concept to the desert landscape of Baja California Sur, in a beach-front property just North of La Paz in Northern Mexico. Vast biological reserves make it an important destination for eco-tourism and its proximity to the US has accelerated development in recent years. The 64,912 sqm. of desert landscape offer an experience unlike any other and contains a pristine beach set between two hills that overlook the ocean. It showcases a perfect blend of beach access, elevated ocean views, and direct access to the main road south to La Paz. It encompasses 64,912 sqm.
Spaces created to feel wellness through the senses
Of the 50 units designed, each of the spaces will be divided into 120-sqm standard rooms, 409 sqm double villas, and its 500-sqm Royal Villa. It will also house a Spa and other amenities like restaurants, an events area, and a boutique. This design, along with back-of-house, wellness villas, and brand residences, totals 15,767 sqm.
