We will visit the Historical downtown district that is a UNESCO´s world heritage site, the National Palace, the Main Square (Zocalo), will admire panoramic view of the Aztec Major Temple, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Reforma boulevard, the Chapultepec Park, the most glamorous residential districts of the city and the Zona Rosa (Pink Zone). Depending on the schedule and the time available, we can include a visit to the world renowned Anthropology Museum, Xochimilco or the Colonial neighborhoods of the City.
One of the most prominent features of Central Mexico is the Religious Architecture and art, which is present all around. Some of the Cities have been titled “Cultural Heritage of Mankind” by the UNESCO due to their stunning religious edifications. We will visit the majestic Metropolitan Cathedral, one of the few Cathedrals built in the Americas that were designed in Spain, and will be marveled with its wonders; then, we will visit Templo Mayor, the most sacred Site of the ancient Aztec empire. We will spend this morning seeing the numerous churches, chapels and points of interest around Tepeyac, all associated with the apparition of our Lady of Guadalupe. More Colonial and Contemporary jewels, like the Iglesia de San juan Bautista, la iglesia de la quinta Aparición and La Sagrada Familia be visited, and their highlights described in detail. This tour is ideal for both religious and cultural purposes.
